BOARD OF EDUCATION TO MEET APRIL 22ND AT CENTER STREET SCHOOL

 The Fairfield Grade School Board of Education is set to meet Tuesday, April 22nd in the Center Street School Boardroom. 

 

Items on the agenda include a period for citizens to comment on non-agenda items. The board will then consider approval of the regular and closed session minutes from the March 17th meeting.  Also discussed  will be the Treasurer’s Report, payroll summaries, and monthly bills.

 

Superintendent updates will include a variety of key reports and planning items, such as:

Revenue to Expense Report

Food Service and Transportation Reports

Consolidated District Grant Application

Graduation Plans

Curriculum and Building Reports

Insurance Review

Proposed Change to Board Meeting Date

Discussion of a Board Vacancy

Following these updates, the board is expected to take action on:

The Consolidated District Grant Application

New science curriculum adoption

A change to the board meeting date

Reports will also be presented by principals from Center Street School and North Side School.

 

A closed session is scheduled to discuss personnel matters, including employment, retirement, student issues, and collective bargaining.

 

After returning to open session, the board will vote on several personnel-related items, including:

Hiring of a coach

Resignations from extracurricular and paraprofessional positions

New paraprofessional hires

Principal salary and contract

Superintendent contract

Wage determinations for non-certified and nursing staff

The meeting will conclude with an informational update regarding Honor Banquet RSVPs, before adjourning for the evening.
