The North Wayne Community Unit School District #200 will hold their regular board meeting on Wednesday, April 23rd at Cisne Middle School. The meeting includes discussions on various district matters, approvals of key items, and elections for new leadership roles.
Items on the agenda include; approval of the consent agenda, approval of minutes from the March 19th meeting, personal leave requests, the district’s consolidated plan, and approval of multiple field trips for elementary, Cisne Middle School, and Cisne High School students. The board will discuss the use of high school facilities for Cisne Fireworks on July 5th and renewed a co-op agreement for girls’ basketball between Cisne High School and Wayne City High School. Resignations from Kera Vinson (CHS Volleyball Coach) and Kelsey Fetherling (CHS Assistant Volleyball Coach) along with a donation of $756 from Fairfield National Bank to the CHS activity fund. The board will discuss a retreat for FFA officers scheduled for May 27-28th. The meeting will also include recognition of outgoing board members.
Immediately following the regular meeting, a special session will be held to elect new district officers, establish meeting schedules, and review bids for upcoming fiscal year needs. The board will discuss bids for dairy, L.P. gas, gasoline, diesel, and rock supplies for FY26. Additionally, the board will consider employee compensation, principal contracts, and the head volleyball coach position in executive session before making final decisions. The meeting begins at 6pm.
