WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT BUSY, THREE ARRESTED AND TWO FAIRFIELD RESIDENTS CITED FOR TRAFFIC VIOLATION

After a lengthy investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, an arrest has been made. Cody J. Yard (32) of West Frankfort was arrested on Wednesday for the charge of Aggravated Home Repair Fraud. During the investigation probable cause was gathered that Yard had committed the offense of Home Repair Fraud on an elderly victim from Wayne City.  A warrant was then obtained for Yard’s arrest. Yard is being held in the Wayne County Jail awaiting a detainment hearing.

 

On Wednesday at approximately 8:00pm, Wayne County Deputies Conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Bobby W. Cottrill (47) of Fairfield. Cottrill was found to have a revoked Illinois Driver’s License.   Also a passenger in the vehicle Amanda G. Garner (44) of Fairfield was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Clay County. Cottrill was cited for driving on a revoked license and given a Notice to Appear in Wayne County Circuit Court.  Garner was placed under arrest and transported to the Wayne County Jail.

 

On Wednesday at approximately 11:45pm, Wayne County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Kelli R. Taylor (38) of Fairfield. Taylor was found to have an active arrest warrant issued out of Richland County. Taylor was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail.

 

Phillip D Brown, 45 of Fairfield was cited by Wayne County Deputies last Wednesday (April 16th) just before 9pm for Driving on a Revoked License.  Brown was given a Notice to Appear in Wayne County Circuit Court.
