Reports out of White County say the Carmi Police Department was called Thursday night around 8 p.m. to a domestic battery complaint.
A woman had called the police and said that her fiancée, identified as Steven Forrester, had choked her and hit her with a frying pan in the legs. Police indicated they saw red marks on the woman’s legs consistent with her statement.
Forrester was located at a residence on Marguerite Street and taken into custody. He was lodged in the White County Jail pending a court appearance.
