GRAYVILLE MAN KILLED FRIDAY NIGHT WAS WALKING IN THE ROADWAY AUTHORITIES SAY

22-year-old Jaxin W. Lee of Grayville, formerly of Albion was killed Friday night while walking on Illinois Route 130 at East 1725 North Road. Illinois State Police, Edwards County EMS personnel and Edwards County Coroner, Mark Curtis responded to the scene of the accident which occurred around 10:15pm. Preliminary investigation indicated a pickup truck was traveling northbound when it struck Lee however, Edwards County Coroner, Mark Curtis says Lee was walking southbound on IL130 in the lane of traffic when a southbound pick-up truck driven by 20-year-old Bryton Steber of West Salem struck Lee, killing him instantly. Illinois State Police Troop 9 had the intersection shut down for several hours while Illinois State Police Crash Reconstructionists investigated the accident.
