Charles Keith Holman

Charles Keith Holman, 72, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on December 25, 1951, in Evansville, the son of Robert L. and Mary (Carr) Holman. Keith married Vickie Fishback on June 8, 1973, and she survives. He graduated from Crossville High School in 1970. Keith worked as a miner at Wabash Mine at Keensburg, Illinois. He was a member of the UMWA and Ducks Unlimited. He loved to golf, fish, and cook. Keith enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and tried out for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. He loved his dog, Candy, and most of all, spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his wife, Vickie Holman of Carmi, IL, Keith is survived by his son, Jerry Holman of Carmi, IL; grandchildren, Kazlyn Holman of New Haven, IL, and Kyndall Holman of Carmi, IL; step-grandchildren, Kale and Kinady Smith of New Haven, IL; his mother, Mary Moon of Bonita Springs, FL; his step-mother, Judy Holman of Cranberry Township, PA; siblings, Scott  (Morgan Evans) Holman of Pittsburgh, PA, and Melanie (Mike) Andorka of Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Carmeta Bingman of Carmi, IL; Nephews, Nathan (Samantha) Bingman of Carmi, IL. and Brent (Shealyn) Bingman of Carmi, IL ; great nieces, Hattie, Hallie and Lemmie Bingman of Carmi, IL; a great nephew, Easton Bingman of Carmi, IL; and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Holman; a brother, Bobby Holman; grandfathers, Charles Carr and John Holman; grandmothers, Lorene Carr and Christine Holman; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Fields Holtzclaw.

A memorial service for Charles Keith Holman will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow in Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, June 6, 2024. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Keith’s memory to Pets at Risk and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, or may be mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821.
