A Carmi woman has been apprehended again due to a felony Failure to Appear warrant. Senekqua Holland, 27, was arrested after 11 PM last Thursday. This follows a previous failure to appear in July related to a case from 2022, where she was charged and convicted of Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer and Resisting Arrest. In November 2022, the state’s attorney dismissed three additional charges against her. Holland received a sentence of 30 months probation, 50 hours of community service, and was ordered into treatment, along with a six-month stayed jail sentence. After failing to appear in July, a petition to revoke her probation was filed in August, leading to a five-year sentence in the Department of Corrections issued on September 30. Her arrest took place at Rock Bottom.
In a separate incident early last Friday morning, Carmi Police arrested 40-year-old Sasha Allen on a Failure to Appear warrant. Officers took her into custody around 12:30 AM near her home on 3rd Street after responding to a welfare check request. Allen’s original charges stem from 2022, involving Driving While License Revoked and Unlawful Use of Cannabis by a Driver, for which she had been placed under two years of supervision.
