NORTH WAYNE UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION MET WEDNESDAY

The North Wayne Unit School District Board of Education met for their regular monthly meeting last (Wednesday) night with the board approving the following items on the consent agenda:

Approved the minutes of the September 23rd budget hearing and regular meeting.

Approved personal leave days and dock days requests.

Approved FMLA leave for an employee.

Approved Pee Wee Basketball to use school facilities for practices.

 

The board approved the payment of the bills and also congratulated Cisne Middle School on their successful baseball season, placing 2nd in the Class S Baseball Tournament.  The board was informed that the district raised over $7,000 for Carrie Dagg during their recent fundraiser.   The board tabled a decision on a contract with Affordable Gas & Electric until next month’s meeting. (Regarding Community Solar Project).

 

The board approved the FY24 district audit presentation and approved the FFA overnight officer retreat as presented.  The board voted to reinstate the CHS Track and Field Program and hired Chandler Courtright as an assistant boys’ basketball coach at Cisne Middle School and Casey Opell as a paraprofessional/aide at Mt. Erie Elementary.
