CROSS COUNTRY FROM THURSDAY:
Fairfield Mules Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams both dominated the Black Diamond Conference Cross Country Meet and repeated as Conference Champions.
In the Girls Race, the Lady Mules had a perfect score of 15 taking the top five spots across the finish line. It is their third straight BDC Title. Ella Sager (1st), Emeri Sager (2nd), Remi Taylor (3rd), Adi Hickey (4th), and Ellanie Vanway (5th) as each girl earned all-conference honors.
In the Boys race, the Mules won the conference meet with a final score of 25 points for their 5th straight Title. Top finishers include Grant Jennette (1st), Skylar Bladel (3rd), and Jarret Vaughan (5th) each earning all-conference honors.

The number-21 Illinois Fighting Illini will try to knock off the reigning college football champions when they host number-22 Michigan at Memorial Stadium tomorrow. The Illini are coming off a 50-49 overtime win against Purdue last weekend. Illinois is 5-and-1 overall and 2-and-1 in the Big Ten, but the Illini have lost their last six games against the Wolverines. Tomorrow’s contest starts at 2:30PM.
