WAYNE COUNTY CORONER’S OFFICE INVESTIGATING DEATH OF WAYNE CITY MAN

Local EMS personnel reponded Wednesday afternoon to a report of an unresponsive male at a residence in rural southwestern Wayne County.  Wayne City Fire and Ambulance, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and Wayne County Coroner’s Office arrived and upon further investigation, found 34-year-old Oakley Kempiak of Wayne City.  Wayne County Coroner, Carrie Jo Dagg pronounced Kempiak dead at the scene.  An autopsy has been scheduled to assist in the determination of the cause of death.  Complete results are expected to take several weeks and the cause of death remains pending by the Wayne County Coroner’s Office.
