FAIRFIELD FURY WIN AT O’FALLON OVER THE WEEKEND:
Fairfield Fury 12u ended their fall season winning the title of the USSSA Fall State Tournament in O’Fallon this past weekend. The 12u team went 6-0 in this tournament and finished the fall season 13-1-1.

Fairfield Fury 14u accomplished the exact same thing in O’Fallon by bringing their third USSSA Tournament Championship and finished their fall season undefeated with a 17-0 record in the 16-team Fall State Championship. The Fury 14u went 7-0 and outscored their opponents 69-12.

The number-24 Illinois Fighting Illini nearly doubled-up the EIU Panthers with a 112-67 season opening win at State Farm Center. The Illini led by 15 points at halftime before outscoring EIU 62-32 in the second half. Will Riley poured in 31 points off the bench, while Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn finished with 21. The 1-and-0 Illini welcome SIU-Edwardsville on Friday.
