The Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce celebrated its Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet on Saturday evening at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis.
This year marked significant growth for the Chamber, which now boasts 102 members, including 13 new additions in the past year.
Highlighting the evening, the Chamber awarded its first-ever $1,000 business grant to Main Street Diner and presented a $1,000 emergency grant to KG’s Market. Hometown Swirls earned the Business of the Year award.
Sam Wilson received the Ted Satterfield Award for his contributions to the community and was also recognized as a retiring board member after more than 15 years of dedicated service.
Guests enjoyed live music provided by Terry Wells and a meal prepared by the Ladies of Piopolis. Special recognition was given to Tom Anselment for his smoked pork chops, which were a highlight of the dinner.
Looking ahead, the Chamber is gearing up for its annual Hamco Food and Brew Fest, scheduled for March 1st at the Big Red Barn in McLeansboro.
