Sharon Dawn Curtis -Age 68 of McLeansboro Il. passed away peacefully early Friday morning November 29, at Home, in the company of her loving family and Pastor concluding a long and difficult battle with Brain Cancer.
Sharon was born October 16, 1956 the daughter of Donlee Glenn (Gene) Willis and Wanda Vaughn. She married her loving Husband Gary Curtis September 18, 1976 in McLeanboro where she spent a lifetime working to help others as an LPN at The Hamilton Memorial Hospital and Trade Industries.
She was a member of the Dale Community Church and loved Travel, Gardening, fishing, Reading, but MOST OF ALL playing with, and spoiling, her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren!
Sharon is survived by her Loving Husband-Gary, a Daughter Nicole Bowers and husband Chris of McLeansboro, son Joseph Glenn Curtis and companion Carisa of Dahlgren Il., 6 Grandchildren Brooklyn Bowers, Gillian Bowers, Cole Bowers, Rylee Curtis, Arianna Walters, and Arizona Curtis. She is also survived by Great-Grand-Children -Vayda Walsh, Paxton Walters, Kami Walters, and Noah Valdovinos. Sharon also is survived by her sister Terry Hunt and husband Jim of McLeansboro Il.
The family, following Sharons wishes will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Church she attended, Dale Community Church, and her ashes will be entombed at Marys Chapel Church Cemetery.
Memorials for Hamilton County Cancer Fighters or Dale Community Church will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home who in charge of arrangments.
