A recall has been issued for bags of Marketside ready-to-eat broccoli florets sold at Walmart due to potential Listeria contamination affecting about 20 states. Listeria poses a significant health risk, particularly for young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of Listeria infection can include fever, muscle aches, and gastrointestinal issues.
All affected bags are marked with a “best if used by” date of December 10, 2024. Consumers who have these products, especially those stored in freezers, are advised to dispose of them or seek a refund.
