Jake Owen is set to perform at the Du Quoin State Fair Grandstand on Friday, August 29th. The country music star, known for his 10 No. 1 hit singles and over 2.5 billion US on-demand streams, is a beloved figure in country music.
Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture, expressed enthusiasm about Owen’s performance, stating, “We are committed to a diverse lineup of Grandstand acts. Country artists are a crowd favorite in southern Illinois, and we are excited to bring Jake Owen to the Du Quoin State Fair.”
Owen’s impressive career includes a collection of gold and platinum records, showcasing his laid-back style and popular tracks such as “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Beachin’,” “Anywhere With You,” “Alone With You,” and “The One That Got Away.” In addition to his music career, he has also dabbled in acting, appearing in the 2019 film Our Friend.
As he wraps up his 2024 performance schedule, Owen has been touring as part of The Heartbreak on The Map Tour with Dan + Shay, performing 30 shows.
“Jake Owen gives his all during his performances, and the crowd responds by singing along with their favorite hit songs,” said Du Quoin State Fair Manager Luke Davison. “This is going to be an iconic summer concert at the Du Quoin State Fair.”
