CITY OF GRAYVILLE TERMINATES POLICE OFFICER DURING SPECIAL MEETING WEDNESDAY

Grayville’s law enforcement is currently operating with just a Chief of Police and two officers following the termination of Officer Carlton Valiant. This decision came after a special meeting of city leaders on Wednesday morning, which began at 9 AM with only an executive session on the agenda. After more than an hour and a half behind closed doors, the council reconvened and unanimously voted to terminate Officer Valiant based on violations noted in his personnel file according to City Attorney, Jay Walden however, specific details regarding the nature of these policy violations were not disclosed during the meeting.
