With Super Bowl 59 on Sunday, the Illinois State Police, Illinois Department of Transportation and local law enforcement agencies are reminding the public to celebrate the event safely this weekend, and drive safely when traveling to and from Super Bowl activities.
Police remind motorists to designate a sober driver when traveling or at celebrations. Police also remind motorists to buckle up and drive defensively.
The statewide Super Bowl enforcement is made possible through federal grants administered by IDOT and coincides with the comprehensive multimedia campaign “It’s Not a Game.”
