Fairfield Mules Wrestler, Talan Keoughan is wrestling at the IHSA State Wrestling Tournament at the State Farm Center on the campus of the University Of Illinois in Champaign. Keoughan lost 7-1Thursday by decision in his first match. Keoughan will wrestle today in the first round of wrestle backs around 11 this morning.

Grace Bishop of Edwards County helped lead her team to the Regional Championship and she became the All-Time Leading Scorer in Lions history (Girls & Boys) with 1,619 points. She is just a Junior. Bishop broke the record of 1,618 points which was held by Alyssa Parrott, who was present to see her record surpassed.

The Illinois Fighting Illini will try to get back in the win column when they take on number-three Duke in the Sentinel One Classic at Madison Square Garden tomorrow. The Illini were just crushed by number-11 Wisconsin 95-74 on the road on Tuesday. Illinois is in seventh place in the Big Ten with a 9-and-8 conference record and a 17-and-10 mark overall. Tomorrow’s game tips off at 7:00PM and can be heard on WFIW-AM 1390 and FM 103.3 on the Illini Sports Network powered by Learfield with the pregame show at 6:00PM.
