The Lady Lions now advance to the Elite-8 Super-Sectional (1A) at the O-Rena in Okawville, where they will face Carrollton on Monday night at 7:00pm.

GIRLS CLASS 2A
AT PARIS:

Mt Carmel will advance to the Elite-8 Super -Sectional game in Class 2A, where they will face Kankakee McNamara at Tolono-Unity on Monday night at 6:30pm.

AT TRENTON-WESCLIN:
Nashville 44, Breese Central 36
Nashville now advances to the Elite-8 Super-Sectional on Monday night in Vandalia against Camp Point Central.

GIRLS CLASS 3A
AT BETHALTO CIVIC:

The Lady Rams will now advance to the Taylorville Super-Sectional on Monday night, where they will face Quincy Notre Dame. Tip-off on Monday is 6:00pm at Taylorville.

JR HIGH VOLLEYBALL
WEAA TOURNAMENT AT CLAY CITY
Cisne Volleyball remains undefeated and won the WEAA Conference Tourney. They defeated St. Mary’s, West Salem and then New Hope in the Championship Game.

The Chicago Cubs won’t have their Gold Glove second baseman when they open the season against the Los Angeles Dodgers next month. Nico Hoerner will stay in America to rehab an injury when the Northsiders travel to Japan for the Tokyo Series on March 18th. Hoerner had surgery on his right arm in October.

The Illini are in seventh place in the Big Ten with a 10-and-8 conference record and an 18-and-11 mark overall.
