The Clemence Elizabeth Cox Scholarship was presented by Jerry Cox to five students currently enrolled in their final semester of the nursing program at Frontier Community College. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship. These students will graduate in May with a Registered Nurse degree.

Jerry’s generosity has financially supported 99 students in the nursing program. He established the scholarship in 2009 in memory of his late mother, Clemence Elizabeth Cox, and has remained actively involved in its continuation.

Dedicated to his hometown, Jerry collaborates with Rachel Ewing, Chief Nursing Officer at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, to provide additional employment opportunities for nursing students. He is passionate about encouraging students to stay local, supporting the hospital’s growth and strengthening the community.

Jerry’s contributions are deeply appreciated by both the students and Frontier Community College.
