WITH THE ANTICIPATED DATE OF OPENING IN MARCH, NOW BARBWIRE GRILL WILL NOT OPEN AS PLANNED

Sometime this month, Barbwire Grill was scheduled to reopen in a new location, the former Flat Iron Grill in Westport Plaza west of Fairfield. It was June 16, 2024 when fire destroyed Barbwire Grill on West Delaware leaving owner, Mandy Bell wondering if to rebuild at the old location, or move to another site.  As a cost saving measure, rather building from the ground up at the former site, Bell was presented with an opportunity to move into the former Flat Iron Grill location.  The property managers, Charles & Stacey West and owner of the Westport Plaza Shopping Center from New Jersey were currently remodeling the old Flat Iron Grill location and as soon as the remodeling was to be completed, Bell had plan to reopen her restaurant at the new location.   Now, that plan has completely changed and Bell says she has decided not to go forward with putting the restaurant out at Westport Plaza.  Bell has closed the door on opening the restaurant and is exploring other personal endeavors.
