The City of Fairfield is kicking off its annual mosquito control program for 2025. Starting soon, you will notice employees walking and driving around waterways and storm drains to apply larvicide.
This routine application is conducted each year using the same products and methods as in previous seasons. The spraying will take place from one hour before sunset until the work is completed, ensuring effective coverage.
While the city crews strive to maintain consistent routes throughout the season, please be aware that rain and high winds may impact the schedule.
City crews also encourage all residents to help in the efforts by removing any old tires, unused pools, buckets, or containers that can collect stagnant water as these are common breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
