A generous donation of $111,000 has been made to The Poshard Foundation for Abused Children, aimed at assisting 59 food pantries across 20 counties in southern Illinois, specifically to provide food for children and one of the recipients is Wabash Area Development, Inc. here in Fairfield
The Poshard Foundation has a history of distributing substantial funds to food pantries, with the stipulation that the money be used for purchasing fresh, nutritious food for children. Foundation co-founder Jo Poshard emphasized the importance of this support, especially during a time when local food pantries are struggling to meet the nutritional needs of the children they serve.
