Robin Alan Winternheimer, 62, of McLeansboro

Robin Alan Winternheimer, 62, of McLeansboro, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.  He was born August 21, 1962 in Princeton, Indiana, the son of Ralph & Linda Winternheimer.

Robin enjoyed a life full of hobbies and friends.  In high school, he was the Drum Major in the McLeansboro High School Band.  He finished his undergraduate degree at Murray State University, and later completed his Master’s Degree.  While living in Los Angeles, California, he was the clarinet player in a band.  He also played the obo and the piano.  While in L.A., he worked for the Los Angeles Times, and he was an administrator at the Wilshire Christian Church under The Disciples of Christ.  After moving back to McLeansboro, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir.  He enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.  Robin was very personable, and was loved by everyone who met him.  He will be greatly missed by his family and many, many friends.

He is survived by his best friend Richard Suarez of McLeansboro, his mother Linda Winternheimer of McLeansboro, his brother Ronald (wife Diana) Winternheimer of Dahlgren, and his brother Ralph Terrance (wife Karen) of Richmond, Virginia.  Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Kenneth Winternheimer.

Funeral services for Robin Alan Winternheimer will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in McLeansboro with Pastor Thaddeus Galloway officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m.  Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Dahlgren.
