Barbara Olivia (Anderson) Brubaker, 86, of Carmi, Illinois, died Wednesday, April 16, 2025, peacefully at home. She was born April 22, 1938, the daughter of Arthur T Anderson and Madelon (Church) Anderson. She married her husband of over 60 years, Wesley Brubaker, on January 9, 1959.
Barbara was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed sharing her faith with friends and family, tending to her flower gardens, and had a knack for sewing and quilting.
Survivors include daughters Peggy (John) Anderson of Auburndale, Florida, Penny (Jim) Lindley of Carmi; grandchildren Tabitha (Kevin) Hylton, Terah (Charles) Gilpen; and great grandchildren Mason Hylton, Madisen Hylton, and Mileigh Hylton.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Wesley Brubaker; granddaugter Veronica Nicole Anderson, and grandson Andrew Michael Lindley.
In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, her remains were cremated.
A memorial celebration of Barbara’s life will be at 4pm, Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1405 County Road 730 East, Carmi, Illinois. Roberts and Cook Funeral Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.
