3 Dangerous Buildings Identified During Fairfield City Council Meeting

Council members heard a presentation by Police Chief Colclasure regarding 3 Dangerous Buildings that had been identified.
407 NW 5th St.- this is a fire damaged home. The property owner will have 90 days to address the issue.
1221 Illinois Ave- the unoccupied residence is in major disrepair and poses a danger to the public.
113 East Main St.- this building formerly housed a Mexican Restaurant and has been vacant since July of 2013.
Mayor Moore stated that this was an initial step in taking care of these properties, but he also reiterated that the process was very cumbersome and not very timely.
