Weather permitting, the Fairfield Pool will be offering a free swim this evening from 7 until 9 PM. The free swim is being sponsored by the Wayne County Democrats. There will also be a free swim this upcoming Saturday from 1-5 PM. That swim is sponsored by The Journey Church. The free swim on Saturday will be the final swim public swim of the summer. According to a phone call we had with the pool, attendance at the pool has been good this summer as at times, there have been 280 swimmers putting the pool to use.
