Illinois’ unemployment rate is up. The Illinois Department of Employment Security says the state’s jobless rate increased by point-three-percent last month to four-point-four-percent. However, non-farm payroll jobs increased by 95-hundred in September to a record high, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
