The National Weather Service at Paducah says that there is the potential for some light snow over the next several days with the primary focused on Tonight into Tomorrow morning and then again Thursday Night into Friday morning. Weather service officials say that temperatures should largely be at or above freezing, preventing much if any accumulation, however, rates may be heavy enough for short periods of time to cause a dusting of accumulation on mainly grassy surfaces. Weather service officials say that travel impacts appear unlikely.
Meanwhile, the NWS office at Lincoln, who monitors the weather for Clay, Jasper, Crawford, Richland, and Lawrence Counties are painting a slightly different picture. Officials in Lincoln say that there is the potential for a dusting of snow in portions of Richland, Jasper, and Crawford Counties. According to info from Lincoln, they are saying that a tenth of an inch of snow is possible and that could cause slippery road conditions in those areas.
According to the weather service maps, the best chance of snow is to the west in the St. Louis area.
