IECC Board Recap from January

The Board of Trustees of the Illinois Eastern Community College District No. 529 met
Tuesday night, January 16th at Wabash Valley College, Robinson, Illinois.

As part of the meeting of the Board of Trustees, the Decennial Committee met to study
local efficiencies and report recommendations regarding efficiencies and increased accountability.

The Board approved revisions to Policy 500.12 Student Optional Disclosure of Private
Mental Health Information as presented. The revisions address gaps in mental health services on
college campuses through training, peer support, and community-campus partnerships.

The Board approved a Behavioral Health Services Agreement with Lawrence County
Health Department.

An affiliation agreement was approved with Stone Bridge Memory Care.

The Board approved a Trust Agreement with the State of Illinois to complete an electrical
services upgrade at Wabash Valley College.

The Board authorized the sale of five acres owned by IECC in Crawford County, located on
Route 1, formerly the location of the Lincoln Trail College “South Campus” (Harry L. Crisp Building).
The Board approved the easement for Ameren Illinois at the new athletic facility at Lincoln
Trail College

The following personnel were employed: Lyndon Huey, Director of Business at Wabash
Valley College effective January 22, 2024 and Shani Quarton, Adult Education Office Assistant at
Frontier Community College effective January 22, 2024.

Changes in employment status or title change effective January 22, 2024 were approved
for Alex Cline from Director of Information Technology to Chief Information Office, DO; Andrea
McDowell from Director of Human Resources to Executive Director of Human Resources, DO;
Collin Maynard from Interim to Full-time Head Baseball Coach, LTC; and Julie Auteberry from
TRIO Upward Bound Coordinator, WVC to TRIO Upward Bound Coordinator, OCC. Change in
status was also approved for Amy Tarr from Director of Instructional Service, OCC to Associate
Dean of Instruction, OCC effective July 1, 2024.
Resignation was approved for Karissa Perry as Student Services Specialist effective
January 16, 2024.

Retirement was approved for Clay Atkins as Maintenance Worker/O&M Team Leader,
OCC effective January 19, 2024.
The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees will be Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at
6:15 p.m. at Frontier Community College, Fairfield.
