INTEGRITY VOLLEYBALL ELITE HIGH SCHOOL OPEN GYM SET FOR SATURDAY

Integrity Elite Volleyball High School will have another open gym Saturday, July 27th from 9am to 10:30am. Open gym sessions will be held at New Hope Grade School and this is for ages 15 to 18. Cost is $5 and those interested can sign up at www.integrityvolleyball.com.

TRYOUTS FOR INTEGRITY VOLLEYBALL ELITE HIGH SCHOOL THIS SUNDAY

Tryouts for Integrity Volleyball Elite High School will be held this Sunday, July 28th from 1pm to 5pm at New Hope Grade School. The tryout fee is $20 and signup is available now at www.integrityvolleyball.com. A make-up tryout date is set for Saturday, July 27th from 9am to 10:30 am also at New Hope School.

FRONTIER BOBCATS SOFTBALL 2 PERSON GOLF SCRAMBLE SET FOR SATURDAY JULY 27TH:

Frontier Bobcats Softball team will be hosting a 2-person golf scramble on Saturday, July 27th at the Fairfield Public Golf Course. Registration fee is $75 per player with tee off time at 9am. 27 holes-flighted after the first 9. Lunch will be provided. To sign up, contact the Fairfield Public Golf Course on Facebook.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:

The St. Louis Cardinals managed seven hits during a 2-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park yesterday. Nolan Gorman hit a solo home run in the top of the fifth to tie the game at one, but John King surrendered a go-ahead single in the bottom of the ninth and was charged with his second loss in relief. St. Louis has dropped three of its last five. The St. Louis Cardinals look to even up their series tonight. The Cardinals are in second place in the NL Central at 52-and-48, but they have just a one-game lead over the Pirates. Lance Lynn takes the mound for St. Louis. First pitch is at 5:40PM.

The Cubs silenced the Brewers 3-1 to win their series opener from Wrigley. Ian Happ slugged a solo homer and Michael Busch tallied an RBI single. Drew Smyly earned the win in relief after Javier Assad was pulled following a six-walk performance over three-plus innings. Chicago has won three of its last five to stay fourth in the NL Central at 49-and-53. Jameson Taillon starts for the Cubs against Milwaukee tonight. at 7:05.

The Chicago White Sox are on an eight-game losing streak following a 4-3, ten-inning loss to the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. The Sox are in last place in the AL Central at 27-and-75. They send Garrett Crochet to the mound against Texas tonight at 7:05.
