INTEGRITY VOLLEYBALL ELITE HIGH SCHOOL OPEN GYM SET FOR TOMORROW (SATURDAY):

Integrity Elite Volleyball High School will have another open gym tomorrow (Saturday, July 27th) from 9am to 10:30am. Open gym sessions will be held at New Hope Grade School and this is for ages 15 to 18. Cost is $5 and those interested can sign up at www.integrityvolleyball.com.

TRYOUTS FOR INTEGRITY VOLLEYBALL ELITE HIGH SCHOOL THIS SUNDAY:

Tryouts for Integrity Volleyball Elite High School is this Sunday, July 28th from 1pm to 5pm at New Hope Grade School. The tryout fee is $20 and signup is available now at www.integrityvolleyball.com. A make-up tryout date is set for Saturday, July 27th from 9am to 10:30 am also at New Hope School.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:

The St. Louis Cardinals look to get back in the win column when they host the Washington Nationals at Busch Stadium tonight. The Cardinals are coming off a series loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates earlier this week. St. Louis is in second place in the NL Central at 53-and-49. Sonny Gray starts for the Cards tonight. First pitch is at 7:15PM.

The Chicago Cubs begin a weekend series against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium tonight. The Cubs are coming off a series loss to the Brewers at home earlier this week. Chicago is in last place in the NL Central at 49-and-55. Kyle Hendricks starts for the Northsiders tonight. First pitch is at 7:10PM.

The Chicago White Sox are on an 11-game losing streak following a 2-1 loss to the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. The Southsiders are in last place in the AL Central at 27-and-78. Drew Thorpe starts for the Sox against Seattle tonight.

OLYMPIC NEWS:

The Opening Ceremony today at the Paris Olympics will be like never before. For the first time in the history of the Summer Games, the Opening Ceremony will not take place in a stadium, and instead will be held on a river. The parade of athletes will go down the Seine River with boats for each national delegation. The more than 10-thousand athletes will wind their way through the center of Paris and end at the Trocadero, which will host the final part of the event including the lighting of the Olympic torch. The Opening Ceremony will begin today at 12:30. The U.S. looks to maintain its dominance at the Summer Olympics. With some events already taking place Wednesday and Thursday, the games will officially begin today with the Opening Ceremony. The U.S. will be looking to top its medal total from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where Americans took home a Games-best 113 medals. They led the summer medal count for the seventh straight time. Team USA holds the all-time record for a non-boycotted Games after winning 121 total medals in Rio in 2016.
