The Eastern Illinois Foodbank is gearing up to provide essential support to families in need in Clay County on Monday, August 12th. Attendees are requested to bring along boxes or bags to help in the transportation of the food items they will receive.
The Foodmobile will kickstart its journey at the Band Stand on Front Street in Xenia, operating from 9:00 to 9:30 am. It will make its way to Flora’s Rotary Park, extending its services from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The next stop on the food distribution route is Clay City, where the Foodmobile will be stationed at the lot on 500 South Main, ready to serve the community from 11:30 am to noon. Wrapping up the day the Foodmobile will conclude its rounds at the Louisville Baseball Field, welcoming recipients from 1:00 to 1:45 pm.
To streamline the process and better cater to attendees, individuals planning to partake in the distribution are encouraged to pre-register at www.EIFclient.com. It’s important to note that pre-registering does not guarantee a spot in line, as there are specific income guidelines to adhere to.
This initiative forms a crucial part of the Foodbank’s Foodmobile Program, an effort aimed at extending a helping hand to rural and underserved areas by providing access to nutritious food.
