The Fairfield PaintOut event is set to make its return to the area from September 24th through 28th, with a special tribute to the late Spencer Meagher. The event will follow a Tuesday through Saturday format similar to previous years. Artists will have the opportunity to paint throughout the week, culminating in Friday’s Art Show. There’s been a change of venue. This year’s Fairfield PaintOut show and judging will be held at the Fairfield CP Church, instead of the Floral Hall.
The Friday, Sept. 27th show will be open to the public following the awards sponsors allotted time to purchase. Judging results will be announced at noon on Saturday with more artists’ work available for purchase afterwards.
In honor of Spencer Meagher, a beloved member who passed away in March after battling cancer, the committee plans to introduce new award categories this year. Meagher’s wife, Cindy, will sponsor an award for the Best Use of Light. Additionally, there will be a new award titled “Seeing the World Through Spencer’s Eye,” which will be judged by Dr. Patrick Molt.
