Illinois Route 1 Closed at Oak Street in Carmi

Those driving Illinois Route 1 thru portions of Carmi are having to take a detour and will be doing so for the next few weeks. IDOT has closed Illinois Route 1 at the intersection of Oak Street. IDOT closed the roadway for the removal and and replacement a culvert under Main Street along with the relocation of water and sewer lines. City officials say the road will be closed for the next several weeks.
