TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT THURSDAY NIGHT SENDS TWO SUBJECTS TO FAIRFIELD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Fire and EMS personnel responded to a two vehicle accident Thursday night on US 45 south of Fairfield and near Clayton Mobile Homes.  Deputies say a 2018 Chevrolet pickup driven by 67-year old Thomas Hutcheson of Fairfield was traveling northbound on US 45 when he told deputies he lost vision of the road due to rain and crossed into oncoming traffic hitting a southbound 2017 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 60 year-old, Rita Brockman of Centralia.  Brockman and a female passenger in the vehicle were both transported to Fairfield Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.  Hutcheson, not injured was cited for Improper Lane Usage.
