This is Homecoming Week for Fairfield Community High School with activities leading up to Homecoming on Saturday. The Freshman attendants are: Paisley Barbre and Nora Oliver, Sophomore attendants are Wren Braddock and Remington Taylor, Junior attendants are Lela Duckworth and Olivia Ward.
Senior Queen Candidates are: Molly Medler, Olivia Smith and Ciara Turner.
Senior King Candidates are: Jayze Bube, Justice Dagg and Giuseppe DiMaggio.
Senior Escorts include: Jacob Ahlfield, Jacob Combs, Eric Locke, Maveryck Lyons, Israel Sargent and Miller Simpson.
The Flower Girl is Rosemary McDuffee and the Crown Bearer is Holsten Kiefer.
The theme for this year’s homecoming is “Happily Ever After”. Each school day will be dress-up day.
Today will be teachers dress up as students and students dress up as teachers.
Tomorrow is Twin Day
Wednesday is 9th grade: Country vs. Country Club, 10th: Mathletes vs. Athletes, 11th: DJ vs. PJ and 12th: Runway vs. Chill Day.
Thursday is dress up as the future you.
Friday is crazy Red and Black Day.
The annual Battle Of The classes will be held on Wednesday starting at 7pm and the Homecoming Parade will be on Friday at 2pm. Lineup for the parade will be on North First Street and anyone wanting to participate in the parade should contact Donna Reever at 618-847-9402 for a spot.
The Homecoming football game will be Saturday, October 5th at 1pm against Flora with the crowning of the homecoming queen at halftime. The homecoming dance will be held Saturday night from 8pm to 11pm with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets for the dance are on sale now and no tickets will be sold after Wednesday. The price of the tickets will be $10 each and there will be tickets sold the night of the dance but they will be $15 at the door.
Students who bring a guest (this is someone that is not currently attending FCHS) to the dance must complete a Guest Dance form and have it completed and turned into the main office by Wednesday. Dates must be under 21 and no grade school students are allowed to attend. This is a semi-formal affair, so students do not have to wear a formal dress or a tuxedo to attend, but it is requested that students not wear jeans. If a student chooses to leave the dance, they will not be allowed to return. All school rules apply to all the events during homecoming week, the parade, the game and the dance.
