Thomas William Wagner, 69, of Carmi, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Thomas was born on May 22, 1954, in Carmi, IL, the son of James and Thelma (Kennedy) Wagner. Thomas served in the United States Navy in the early 70’s. He spent his career in transportation as a truck driver for Schneider Trucking. Thomas was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting sports. Thomas loved spending time with and passing on all of his outdoor knowledge to his favorite nephew.
Survivors include his sisters, Marcia (Bruce) Hollingworth and Marilyn Myers. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A service celebrating the life of Thomas William Wagner will be held at a later date. Stendeback Funeral Homes in Carmi, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
