Scott Dale Van Winkle, age 53 and resident of McLeansboro, IL, passed away 5:17 p.m., August 11, 2023 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital, McLeansboro, IL
VISITATION will be held 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Harre Funeral Home. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2023, Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, IL.
Scott’s ashes will be spread by his family at his favorite places.
Reverend Dr. Ken Cook will officiate the service.
Scott was born July 1, 1970 in Mt. Vernon, IL to Penny Van Winkle and Linda (Gassaway) Van Winkle. He was employed as a Mail Carrier in McLeansboro, IL. Scott attended Lick Creek
Church. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his sons Slade Michael Van Winkle of Broughton, IL; Kale Joshua Van Winkle of McLeansboro, IL; Parents, Penny and Linda Van Winkle, McLeansboro, IL; Sister, Jill Prince of McLeansboro; Nieces Savannah Webb and husband Cole, McLeansboro; Peyton Prince and fiancé Quinten Harmon, McLeansboro; 2 Great Nephews, Carter Webb and Elliott Webb, McLeansboro; Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
