89 year old (former Albion, IL.) resident Doris J. Hensley passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at
Parkview Care Center in Evansville, IN.
Doris was born on April 30, 1934 to Edward and Mary (Smith) Cullison in Edwards County, IL.
She married Robert E. Hensley on December 4, 1954 in Edwards County, IL. Robert preceded her in death on April 14, 2008.
Doris had worked at Johnny Manufacturing as a supervisor before going to work at Champion Labs, where she worked for 13 years. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Eagles.
Doris could be stubborn and had a feisty spirit, a spitfire at times but was a loving and caring person.
She loved to fish, water ski. She was a bowler, and won many trophies over many years.
Her most favorite thing to do was to see all the grandkids play their sports.
She loved going to horse shows.
Survivors include her son, Marty (Lisa) Hensley of Evansville, IN, her daughter, Tonya Gomez of Owensville, IN.
2 Brothers Donnie Cullison of Grayville, IL. Ronnie (Sue) Cullison of Albion, IL and a sister, Donna Dalton of Albion, IL. 8 Grandchildren; Jamie, David, Esperanza, Tosha, Inocencio, Matthew, Nathan and Joseph
9 Great-Grandchildren; Kaitlin, Nicholas, Peyton, Parker, Jackson, Holly, Jayzale, Jaylon and Vash

Funeral services for Doris J. Hensley will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday. September 10, 2023 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion, IL. With burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Nale’s
