MONDAY’S (January 6th) CLOSING & CANCELLATIONS
ALL Wayne County Schools (Jasper, Geff, New Hope, Northside, Center St, Fairfield Community High School, all Wayne City Schools, and all North Wayne Schools) are closed
ALL sporting events at Fairfield Community High School cancelled Monday. The Fairfield Mules girls and boys basketball games with North Clay scheduled for Monday have been postponed. The girls game (Varsity only) has been rescheduled for Saturday, 1/11 at 1:00pm at North Clay High School. The boys game (JV/Varsity) has been rescheduled for Thursday, 2/13 at 6:00pm at North Clay High School.
ALL Edwards County Schools closed.
No School at the Norris City Annex
ALL Hamilton County Schools will be closed Monday. Additionally, our daycare facility will also be closed.
Monday’s Edwards County Girl’s Basketball game with Gallatin County has been postponed.
Alphabet Kids Daycare Center in Wayne City closed.

The Edwards County and Wayne County Senior Centers will be closed Monday
The Grayville Senior Center will be closed Monday January 6th for lunch.

Elastec’s Illinois facilities (Carmi and Fairfield) will be closed on Monday, January 6th due to the threat of a winter storm. They will re-open on Tuesday, January 7th. Our Cocoa, Florida facility will remain open and we will still be answering calls as available.
The Fairfield Masonic Lodge Supper Club has been cancelled for Monday night.
Cattlemen’s Livestock’s Monday auction has been cancelled due to the expected weather, and they will not be taking any cattle Sunday. They will be back to regular operations the 3rd Sunday in January.
At this time, NAL Flora Plant will be open for business with the following schedule changes:
3rd shift Monday (starting at 11pm Sunday night) production has been cancelled.
1st shift Monday for all team members (hourly and salary) has also been cancelled. Production will resume at 3pm (2nd shift) on Monday

Bling Things and more LTD are postponing their grand opening date and ribbon cutting until Wednesday January 15th at 10am and ribbon cutting at 1pm unless they have to change due to theChamber of Commerce schedule.

Hella in Flora productions in all areas has been canceled until 9am Monday morning. Anyone in production should contact their group leader or supervisor with any questions. Wabash Valley College (WVC) will be closed on Monday, January 6, 2025, due to inclement weather. As a result, all classes are canceled, and Small World Learning Center will also be closed. The New Student Orientation, originally scheduled for January 6, has been rescheduled to Friday, January 10, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Learning Commons. All new students are encouraged to attend the orientation to help prepare for the upcoming semester. WVC encourages everyone to stay safe during the weather event. The Clay County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, January 6, 2025, due to the weather. There will be no court. If you were scheduled for court, the Circuit Clerk’s Office will mail notice of a new court date to your last known address.
