The Mount Vernon Elks 819, along with Fairfield Elks 1631, Centralia Elks 493, , Salem Elks 1678, and McLeansboro Elks 1882 Lodges, in cooperation with the Illinois Elks Children’s Care Corporation, will sponsor a free children’s orthopedic assessment clinic on Thursday, March 6, 2025. The clinic will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and is available by appointment only.

To schedule an appointment, please call the Illinois Elks Children’s Care office at 1-800-272-0074 between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Importantly, there are no charges for any services provided at this clinic.

The clinic will be held at the Neuromuscular Orthopaedic Institute office of Dr. Alan Froehling, located at 302 Broadway Street in Mount Vernon.

No medical referral is necessary to attend the clinic; however, physicians are welcome to refer patients for specific concerns or second opinions. School nurses are also encouraged to refer children and families to the clinic. This is an excellent opportunity to have a child assessed for bone and joint development.
