The Blue Point Free Will Baptist Church will be hosting a Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction for Melissa Matthews on Saturday, March 15th from 4pm to 6:30pm or until sold out. Melissa was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia last November and has been undergoing various cancer treatments and will need to continue treatments until August. The menu will consist of Pork Loin, Baked Potato, Green Beans, Rolls, Dessert and Drink, dine in or carry out and the cost is by donation. A silent auction will also be held and the organizers are accepting auction items. Text 618-231-7200 for pickup. All proceeds will go Melissa and Joe Matthews to help with medical expenses. The Blue Point Church is located off the Blue Mound Road Northwest of Cisne at 1147 County Rd 1975N.
